 State Senator Steen Miles (SD 43) at her swearing-in ceremony. Sen. Miles represents Georgians in parts of DeKalb and Rockdale counties. Her top goal for the session is to work on legislation pertaining to health care, education, job creation, and transportation. She is on the Senate Public Safety and Homeland Security and Special Judiciary Committees.

Representative Roberta Abdul-Salaam represents Georgians in House District 74, in the Atlanta area. As a member of the House of Representatives, Abdul-Salaam will focus her efforts on improving education; providing access to affordable, quality health care; and increasing the number of jobs that provide a living wage to workers. She serves on the Judiciary-Noncivil and Economic Development abd Tourism Committees.

Representative Sheila Jones represents the citizens of House District 44 which is in the west and northwest of Fulton County and southern regions of Cobb County. She wants to focus on affordable housing and changes in education. Jones serves on the House Children and Youth, Health and Human Services, and Transportation Committees.

Representative Jane Kidd from Athens in Clarke County represents House District 115. Kidd hopes to have an opportunity to work on education and environmental issues, economic development and job creation, and streamlining government. Kidd serves on the House Education, Health and Human Services, and Higher Education Committees. |
